Harrison Bassmasters Fishing Club Site

Harrisonbassmasters is a Bass fishing club in the Harrison and Chattanooga area. We promote the great sport of bass fishing we fish bass tournaments in the Harrison and Chattanooga area. We fish for largemouth, smallmouth, spotted and kentucky bass. We fish in a boat format, 8 to 10 tournaments a year. We fish lakes in Tennessee and Alabama.

Harrisonbassmasters Classic a two day tournament was fished at Guntersville Lake November 1,2 -2014.  The weather was horrendous, temperature was in the low 30's with 20 to 30 mph winds on day one, and 28 degrees on the second day with ice on the boats and docks,  wind was light in the early morning but picked up to 10 - 15 mph by midday.  Fishing was as tough as  it could be both days.  Ronnie Padgett and Mike Day managed to catch four fish on day one for 9.15 lbs and added only one fish day two for a winning total of 11.85lbs.  John Tomic and John Lee finished second, and had Big Fish of 6.45 lbs   They caught two on day one weighting 8.55 lbs and bombed on day two and still stayed in second place.

Brad Grant and Mike Romines won the Guntersville tournament with 11.55 lbs on another really difficult day of fishing.  Bites again were hard to come by.

Curtis Lee and Todd Huyler won the Nickajack tournament on Nickajack with one fish that weighted 5.50 lbs and had big fish.  Another difficult tournament.  Fishing is really tough.

The August tournament on Chickamaugh was won by John Tomic and Anthony Williams with four fish weighting 8.60 lbs   Fishing was tough and bites were not easy to come by.

Our August tournament on Chickamauga was won by Brad Grant and Robin McElroy with 10.60 lbs.  Curstis Lee had big fish with 4.70 lbs.

Mike Hyde and Benny Bradford won the July tounament on Chickamauga.   They had 3 fish that weighted 16+ lbs plus a Big fish of 7.45 caught by Mike who also won big fish pot for a healthy amount.

Allan Hyde and Byron Simpson won the Watts Bar tournament with 7.80lbs

Bob Davis and Mike Romines at Weiss with 13.90 lbs

John Tomic and partner won the second tournament on Chickamauga with 15.80 lbs

The first tournament of the year was fished at Guntersville. John Lee & Charlie Williams were in first place with 3 fish that weighted 10.05 lbs Big Fish was caught by Mike Romines at 6.20 lbs.

HarrisonBassmasters held it's second invitational tournament on Chickamauga on 7/5/2014. Members and guest fished as pairs . All had a good time. Weather was wet early and caused a delay. But eventuraly cleared up and warmed up as the day progressed and ended up as a beautiful day.  Tournament was won by Gene Cote and Stan Dickert with 5 fish, weighting 15.00 lbs.

Dogfights have started every Thursday night until October.   The entry fee will remain the same at $15,00 but the boater rider fee will be $15.00 this year.  So the first tournament will cost $30.00 per person, then $15.00 tournament fee each time you fish. 

Next Meeting

  All meetings are held on the Second Tuesday of the month. Next meeting 07/14/2015 Knights of Pythias 7pm, November is the start of the New Season and meeting points for attendance count towards Angler of the Year, so now is the time to join and fish with us.   Directions: Hwy 58 towards Harrison Bay.  Left on Harvest Run Dr. (Across from Bayside Baptist Church) Rt. at stop sign Phythian Dr.   follow to end at Gate entrance.  Meetnig in club house or at Pavilion by lake, weather permitting.
