HARRISON BASSMASTERS

ANGLER PROFILE ON

GENE COTE'

Angler of the year 2002,2006

     Classic Winner 2006

If you fish the Thursday night Dog Fights you already know who this man is.  If you haven't fished the Dog Fights this the man to look for.

Gene not only manages the Dog Fights, but he has held positions on the Board of Directors and the Tournament committee.  Gene has been active in the club since 1992 when he retired after 30 years as an Air Traffic Controller in some of the busiest cities in the country.

Although Gene manages the Dog Fights, he is also a tough competitor. You would think  based on Gene's fishing skills that he's been fishing all his life. (Wrong Again). Gene did not start fishing until he retired. He gives credit for his fishing skills to the Harrison Bassmasters Club and to Jack Dickert.

Gene's trying his best to enjoy the retired life, with his volunteer work at the Salvation Army and Church, also Gene fishes, plays tennis and golf. (Like everyone else, he says his golf game need a little work).  Gene has now won Angler of the Year twice, 2002 & 2006. He also was won 2006 Classic and had Big Fish.

Gene, good luck, enjoy the retired life, it's people like you that make the Harrison Bassmasters the great Club that it is. .

Gene is also on the Federated team that has placed 6th in 2007 and third in 2008 and Fourth in 2009.
