Title: Roles and Responsibilities of Tournament Committee

Chairman:

The role of the Tournament Committee Chairman is to lead and guide the functions of the Tournament Committee.  Responsibilities may include:

·        Establish which tournament events are to be held, (where, when, time, etc.)

·        The Chairman is accountable to see that each event run smoothly and safely.

·        Oversee the pairings of each event and address any issues that arise.

·        Resolve contestant pairing matters.

·         Ensure that communications concerning events/changes are made.

·        The Chairman is accountable to resolve any tournament disputes, final word).

·        Order and distribute plaques for each tournament, and trophies for year end Awards.

Committee Members:

The role of Tournament Committee Members is to support the functions of the Tournament Committee.  Responsibilities may include:

·        Establish which tournament events are to be held, (where, when, time, etc.)

·        Support the functions associated with running each tournament, they are:

- Collection of entry fee money, Record weights during weight-ins, establish apy-out money and hand it out.
