A. Election
of Officers: Officers
to be renewed each November at the regular meeting are President; Vice
President; Secretary; Treasurer; Tournament Chairman; and Board of
Directors. B.
Eligibility: Eligibility
for nomination as an officer is to be a member in good standing who,
over the previous year, has fished at least half the Club tournaments
and attended at least seventy-five percent of the regular Club meetings. 1. Officers can only serve a consecutive two (2) year term in the same office capacity. With the exception of the Treasurer's term. This is due to the complication's of changing bank information. Treasurer must be nominated and must accept the nomination to remain in office. If a club member, in good standing is nominated for treasurers position and accepts, a vote will be held to determine the treasurer for the new year. C. DUTIES
OF OFFICERS: 1. President – (a) Preside at all meetings. (b) Arbitrate any disputes (c) Liaison between the Club and other Clubs. (d)
Sign checks in the absence of the Treasurer. 2. Vice President – (a)
To act as President in the absence of the President. 3. Secretary – (a) Record roll call. (b) Keep minutes of business conducted at each meeting. (c) Inform the President when a member violates the attendance requirements so that action can be taken. (d)
Keep records on applications for membership and notify the
President when application exists. 4. Treasurer – (a) Select a bank of his choice to be used as the Club’s official bank. (b) Account for the Clubs funds. (c) Make quarterly report on Club funds. (d) Sign checks. D. Board of Directors: 1.
This Board shall consist of all elected officers, the tournament
committee chairman, and two additional members chosen at large from the
active membership. 2.
In case of a vacancy occurring in an elected office during the
year, the Board will choose a member to fill that position for the
remainder of the year, except the position of the President, which is
automatically filled by the Vice President. The Board will have authority to make rulings in case of a conflict, which arises that, is not covered by the rules.
